Israel round 2
The second round of the Israel contest is halfway. I played yesterday and it went well.
Even though I feel quite confident about my performance, having experienced some competitions I know there is nothing you can or should count on. Additionally, first stage results already caused some eyebrows to raise, so I am quite sure there will be some more surprises for us tonight. Anyway it is a great feeling to have only four pieces to worry about any more. Only two months ago, it were around twenty! The remaining pieces are Caplet’s Conte Fantastique and Beethoven’s Serenade for the third stage, and for the final stage the Ginastera Concerto and Pierne’s Caprice. Hopefully I will get to play them all!
